Caring for your wellness products

It’s important to take good care of your products to ensure they continue to bring you amazing benefits for many years to come. It’s also important to ensure your warranty remains valid.

Infrared saunas

Where to install

Unless specifically stated on the product pages of our website, our saunas are designed for indoor use only or in a well-protected area outside. The saunas can not be exposed to water or direct sunlight. Failure to comply with these requirements will void the warranty. Note: If you choose you install your sauna in a protected area outside, it will affect its ability to reach maximum temperature especially in colder months and this will not be considered a performance defect as the sauna is being impacted by low ambient temperature.

Cleaning

It’s best to keep on top of this from the beginning to avoid longer unnecessary deep cleans.

After each use, ensure you wipe down all surfaces with your towel to remove excess sweat. This will help to reduce stains as well as germs.

Depending on how often you use your sauna, you should give it a semi-regular deeper clean with some warm water and a natural cleaning product that is free from chemicals and toxins to protect both yourself and your sauna. Spray the solution onto the cloth and wipe down rather than spraying directly onto the wood.

Dust the exterior regularly and use a natural glass cleaner, again avoiding chemicals and toxins.

Extra care

We recommend applying some of our protective oil to help reduce moisture/sweat ingress and therefore staining.

Ice baths

Where to install

Our portable ice baths can be exposed to the weather however this may accelerate fading. They should not be left in direct sunlight for long periods of times as this could also affect the material and will void your warranty.

The chiller component for our ice baths can not be exposed to the weather as this will cause irreparable damage being an electrical component and will void the warranty.

Cleaning

There’s a bit of debate over how often you should change the water in your ice bath. As the water is mostly still in our portable ice baths, if you leave it too long the water will start to deteriorate faster than our ice baths with chillers because they are circulating the water more frequently.

Depending on the outside temperature, you can expect to need to change the water in your portable ice bath once a fortnight or when you notice visually the water is dirty or the bottom started to become slimy/slippery. To extend the life of the water, get into your ice bath clean.

Look for the same conditions of the water in our ice baths with chillers (murky, slimy bottom) but you should be able to get away with changing the water only once a month.

When you do change the water, give all surfaces a spray down with a natural cleaning product free from chemicals and toxins. Rinse thoroughly before refilling.
